Maple Syrup and Rosemary Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch (26 g) Classic Roast Gravy Mix
  •  125 mL (1/2 cup) red wine
  • 180 mL (3/4 cup) water
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp) canola oil
  • 4 skinless chicken breasts
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp) Maple chicken rub
  • 60 mL (1/4 cup) Pure maple syrup
  • 5 mL (1 tsp) fresh rosemary, chopped

Optional :

  •  125 mL (1/2 cup) blueberries

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, mix the contents of the Classic Roast Gravy Mix pouch with wine and water. Bring to a boil while whisking.
  2. In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. Season breasts with chicken rub and brown them 1 minute on each side. Pour maple syrup over chicken breasts and cook 1 or 2 minutes.
  3. Add sauce and rosemary. Cover and cook 10 to 12 minutes. If desired, add blueberries 2 minutes before the end.
