May 16, 2017 Délices Érable & Cie wins the Grand Prix Accueil at the 2017 Prix Ulysse
It is with a tremendous sense of joy and pride that the Délices Érable & Cie Old Montreal boutique-bistro accepted the Grand Prix Accueil on the occasion of the Prix Ulysse 2017, held at the Mount Stephen Hotel on May 15.
Organized once again by Tourisme Montréal, the Prix Ulysse awards recognize businesses in the tourism sector in the Greater Montreal area who, through their bold, innovative business strategies, distinguished themselves in 2016. As did six other companies, Délices Érable & Cie was proud to take home one of the seven Prix Ulysse presented that evening. The Old Montreal boutique-bistro was honoured with the Grand Prix Accueil, awarded to the company whose innovative leisure-tourist welcome strategy made their in-store experience unique and unforgettable.
2016 was filled with challenges for the Old Montreal boutique-bistro, which was closed temporarily to undergo a makeover. Since its reopening just over a year ago, the location has refocused its efforts on making the customer experience unique with every visit. Three sampling counters are available at all times so visitors can try the boutique’s wares. A bistro space gives people a place to sit and chat and enjoy a gourmet break right on site. Educational stations in 5 languages introduce tourists to the inner workings of the maple syrup, honey and cranberry harvests. Of course, the experience simply wouldn’t be the same without a dedicated staff on hand who go to great lengths to offer customers a highly personalized experience.
More broadly, 2016 was also a record tourism year for Greater Montreal. It is therefore a great honour for Délices Érable & Cie to accept the Grand Prix Accueil this year.
