Maple syrup and rosemary chicken breasts
Ingredients:
- Classic Roast Gravy Mix: 1 pouch (26 g)
- Red wine: 125 mL (1/2 cup)
- Water: 180 mL (3/4 cup)
- Canola oil:15 mL (1 tbsp)
- Skinless chicken breasts: 4 units
- Canadian Maple Delights chicken rub:15 mL (1 tbsp)
- Pure maple syrup: 60 mL (1/4 cup)
- Fresh rosemary, chopped: 5 mL (1 tsp)
Optional :
- Blueberries:125 mL (1/2 cup)
Preparation:
- In a saucepan, mix the contents of the Classic Roast Gravy Mix pouch with wine and water. Bring to a boil while whisking.
- In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. Season breasts with chicken rub and brown them 1 minute on each side. Pour maple syrup over chicken breasts and cook 1 or 2 minutes.
- Add sauce and rosemary. Cover and cook 10 to 12 minutes. If desired, add blueberries 2 minutes before the end.
