Maple syrup and rosemary chicken breasts

Ingredients:

  •  Classic Roast Gravy Mix: 1 pouch (26 g)
  •  Red wine: 125 mL (1/2 cup)
  • Water: 180 mL (3/4 cup) 
  • Canola oil:15 mL (1 tbsp)
  • Skinless chicken breasts: 4 units 
  • Canadian Maple Delights chicken rub:15 mL (1 tbsp)
  • Pure maple syrup: 60 mL (1/4 cup)
  • Fresh rosemary, chopped: 5 mL (1 tsp)
Optional :
  •  Blueberries:125 mL (1/2 cup)

Preparation:

  • In a saucepan, mix the contents of the Classic Roast Gravy Mix pouch with wine and water. Bring to a boil while whisking.
  • In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. Season breasts with chicken rub and brown them 1 minute on each side. Pour maple syrup over chicken breasts and cook 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Add sauce and rosemary. Cover and cook 10 to 12 minutes. If desired, add blueberries 2 minutes before the end.
